An active accompanist and coach, pianist Erica Rome is once again based in her hometown of Baltimore, where she is rehearsal pianist for the Baltimore Opera Company, on staff at the Peabody Preparatory, and coaches privately.

Previous positions include accompanist for the Virginia Symphony Chorus and the Virginia Chorale; staff accompanist and vocal coach at the Manhattan School of Music; and accompanist for the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players (NYGASP). Summer work has included staff positions at The Quartet Program, Oberlin at Casalmaggiore (Italy), the Interlochen Arts Camp, and New York's American Singers' Opera Project (ASOP).

Erica has performed recitals in Baltimore, Norfolk (Virginia), Richmond, Philadelphia, Tiffin (Ohio), Toronto, Boston, Pembroke (North Carolina) and New York City, including Wall Street's "Concerts at One" series at Saint Paul's Chapel.

In February 2007, Erica was invited to give a master class titled "The Unashamed Accompanist" for singer/pianist duos at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She also performed in concert with members of the UNC-Pembroke voice faculty.

In June 2007, Erica took part in the inaugural summer of VISI. Located at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, VISI is an intensive 11-day seminar for singers and pianists. The 2007 season focused on English, American and Canadian repertoire.
